I have a pretty good skincare routine at the moment, but when I think of skincare I don’t think of my body I always think of my face. Fenjal is changing all of that for me. For the past couple of weeks I have been using some beautiful products in the shower (oh! and a beautiful hand cream) and my skin has never felt better. [Read more…]
Hello lovelies, I am finally back and feeling so good about myself so today I thought I would enlighten you all with one product that has been a saviour for me whilst away in Marrakech! Infinatura Cura Oil is an oil with infinite uses, the multi-purpose product which contains a blend of eight 100% natural oils can be used hair, skin and nails. This product is made right here in the UK too!
AHAVA UK, not a brand I’ve ever come across until now. AHAVA UK was founded in 1988. The brand launched their first line of dead sea mineral rich face and body products. Today I bring you three of the AHAVA products that have truly impressed me. The three products are Age Control Even Tone Moisturiser*, Age Perfecting Hand Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 15* and Age Control Brightening and Renewal Serum*. AHAVA UK has recently opened their own Ebay Store as well as having their own website. [Read more…]
Eye creams are an important part of our skincare routines, they come in all sizes, textures, brands. You name a brand they have probably created an eye cream of some sort. I have been lucky enough to be sent the Instanatural Youth Express Eye Gel* to review and after using this eye cream every day for the last six weeks I feel that I have now seen the full benefits and decided to share my finding with you, my lovely readers.
Instanatural is a brand that is completely new to me, I hadn’t heard of them in the slightest but it’s one brand I will continue to use for a long time to come. I work nights so it’s no secret that I have dark circles under my eyes from the lack of sleep I have. I also experience some puffiness in my eyes if I’ve had a good cry the night before. (It’s healthy to have a good cry every now and then). This product has made my dark circles fade away to the point I don’t need any corrector before concealer! Massive brownie points for Instanatural.
This eye cream contains no harmful parabens, sulfates or alcohols and the brand also don’t test on animals which is great as I try to use brands who don’t test on animals as much as possible! It also contains key ingredients like hyaluronic acid which helps to hydrate the skin by locking in moisture, metrixyl 3000 which is a powerful anti-aging ingredient which helps the skin firm and restore the skin and also a blend of amino acids and plant stem cells help protect the skin from the sun.
Using this eye gel myself I noticed a difference within a few weeks, my und eye area felt hydrated and I had been using this over my eye lids also. I have noticed within the six weeks that my dark circles have faded and I have also noticed a difference in the complexion under my eyes too, I have a more even complexion and as I said above I don’t need a corrector before concealer so that’s one less product that I now don’t need! The eye gel is lightweight, hydrating and soothing when applied onto the face and I use this morning and night every day! Trust me when I say this that a little goes a long way. A little pump for me does both eyes and I apply by gentle dabbing the gel into my eye with my ring finger.
I will be repurchasing this when I’m out as its one of the best eye products skincare wise that I have ever used. This can be bought from the Instanatural Website and Amazon. On amazon it retails for £16.95 for 50ml which is well worth the money! I think this product could actually be sold for me because it’s just that good.
Have you tried anything from Instanatural?
Timeles Truths is a new brand to me, I’ve only just heard about them and when I was offered to try one of their sheet masks I was excited but a little anxious! I have never used a sheet mask before so this is my first but certainly won’t be my last.
Timeless Truth Facial Beauty Masks are an innovative brand that unites experts from world-renowned cosmetic research institutes and cutting edge Bio-Technology, to create the “Ultimate Mask Experience.” Taken from The Beauty Mask About Us Page
The mask I received was the Deep Sea Extract Moisturising Mask* this is ideally aimed at those with dry skin or dry patches, for me I have combination skin so I shouldn’t have really chosen this although I am suffering with dry skin on my forehead at the moment. This was definitely the best choice for me and I’m glad I chose this mask.
This mask is only made up of three ingredients, pretty impressive! These three ingredients are Deep Ocean Water, Seaweed and Hyaluronic Acid. Deep ocean water is the best source of natural ionic minerals and trace elements rarely found in continents. The deep ocean water provides hydration and its easily absorbed into the skin which helps reduce dark and uneven complexion. The seaweed is odourless, non-irritant and non-allergic which means this mask would be perfect for someone with sensitive skin. The seaweed has properties that can nourish, rebalance, smooth, tone, detoxify and hydrate. Lastly the hyaluronic acid is non-toxic, it also hold water which helps collagen in the skin hydrated. Hyaluronic acid is important n controlling tissue hydration. This is the perfect mask for me!
When using this mask I found it a little strange but that’s because I’m not used to sheet masks. It’s a little slimy to touch but it’s very soothing on the skin and my skin began to tingle not sure if that’s normal but after application I waited 20 minutes and removed the mask and my skin felt hydrated, silky smooth and just like normal skin. I applied my makeup after and I immediately noticed a difference I no longer had those dry patches on my forehead! My Skin looked flawless and bright!
Over-all these masks are fiddly but well worth the price of £4.90 per mask. My skin has never felt in better condition! I am seriously impressed and I cannot wait to stock up on these masks.
Have you tried a Timeless Truth Mask?
We all love a good pamper every now and again, for months I’ve wanted to try GlamGlow Super Mud but it’s soooo expensive it’s something I just cant afford right now, so I popped into boots and picked up the Sanctuary 5min Thermal Detox Mask.
My skin is in no way perfect, I’m oily, blemish prone, have trouble with blackheads and no matter how much I wash my face and cleanse I can’t seem to fully control the oiliness of my skin. Sanctuary claim that their ‘5min thermal detox mask’ purifies skin as well as rebalancing the skin’s oil levels to clarify, cleanse and leave skin feeling silky to touch. The mask works by self-heating while on the face which opens up pores so that the charcoal and kaolin clay can help draw out the impurities from deep within the skin. When I picked this up it sounded like the exact product my skin needed!
The mask heats on instant when in contact with the face which I love personally. It’s a thick mask which applies easily. Some masks especially ones that dry out to be peeled off the face I find can pull on the skin when applying but this is just like applying a thick layer of cream onto the skin. As for the scent of the product, personally it’s not horrific but it does remind me of the play-doh I played with as a child which is always an odd smell a little like plastic!
As for drawing out impurities I think it works pretty well, I use this twice a week, I always cleanse before and after and my skin feels a lot smoother and looks a lot less congested. I think by the name of the actual product its supposed to be a five minute mask but I tend to leave it on for around 15-20 minutes, depending on what I’m doing at the time. I also only apply it on my t-zone. (Excuse shocking selfie)
I would definitely re-purchase this. I’m always transferring it between my vanity and my going away bag so I’m sure i’ll be repurchasing soon enough! It does what it says on the tin and as this only retails for £10.50 I think it’s a pretty cheap buy too! A lot less than the GlamGlow mask that’s for sure!
What are your favourite masks?
You guessed it! I splashed out on a cleansing brush, my skin has been awful lately, really dull and nothing worth looking at. The Magnitone Pulsar designed by Pixie Lott herself arrived on my doorstep within two days of me putting my order through which was really fast delivery and I started my 7 Day Challenge.
Magnitone claim that you will have ‘softer, clearer and brighter skin in just 7 days’. Day one I was a little hesitant if im totally honest, I was worried about it being harsh on my skin and after my have a sudden breakout I didn’t want to make it worse.
There are two settings on the brush which the first one is more of a deep cleansing mode and the second mode is more of a gentle cleanse. The first day of using it I used it on the gentle cleanse setting to get used to the brush paired with Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser! One of the functions I love on the brush is that it times you when your using it. It’s recommended to use for one minute. The cleansing brush will then beep every 20 seconds which makes you aware you need to start on a different part of the face. I used it for 20 seconds on my fore head, 10 seconds for each cheek and 20 seconds for my chin and nose area and it is plenty for me. I have used this every day and night since getting it which was about a month ago now and I haven’t had to re-charge it yet! I think that’s pretty impressive!
I was immediately in love with this cleansing brush! It was in no way harsh on the skin. It felt so nice gliding over my face and felt as though it was really cleaning my pores out. I tend to use the cleansing brush on the deep cleanse mode on a night time before bed to rid my face from all the dirt from the day and all the makeup too!
Overall I love this brush, after seven days I was so happy with the look of my skin, it was brighter, it was clearer and it was softer. I use this now every morning and night followed by my serozinc and moisturiser as well as my new eye cream which I will be revealing to you all in a few weeks! I have noticed a massive difference in my skin regarding how my makeup sits too! I look more flawless and have less of an uneven texture to my skin. My skin isn’t perfect but it’s well on it’s way to being as good as I’d like it to be.
I am so glad I invested in a cleansing brush it’s honestly changed my skincare completely and that’s a great thing for me. One thing I was really concerned about when I bought this was that the deep cleanse mode on the cleansing brush would be too harsh for my facial scarring. I was so worried that it would irritate my scars and make them sore and red. Luckily I have had no such experience and it’s made the skin around my scars a lot easier to manage.
Within 7 Days my skin has transformed from ugly witch to beautiful princess! Have you got a cleansing brush? What’s your verdict?
This product has been talked about for ages and I finally got my hands on it thanks to it being stocked at escentual.com! Boy was I excited when this arrived on my doorstep! I still am excited, not only because I have this beautiful product but today it’s my 3rd anniversary with my boyfriend! How time flies!
Did you know that La Roche-Posay is part of L’Oreal? No, neither did I until I embarked on some research into the La Roche Posay brand! I learnt that the brand originates from France. Which is probably why we didn’t get the product here until now. I love learning about the history of the brands but sadly I couldn’t find much about La Roche Posay as an individual most of it was about L’Oreal. Never the less both amazing brands which I’ve learnt is actually just one brand.
La Roche-Posay Serozinc is a toner for oily, blemish-prone skin. It’s a facial mist which is made from Aqua/Water, Sodium Chloride and Zinc Sulphate. This has now become a staple in my skincare regime and I’ve actually already got a backup for when I run out. This claims to make skin look mattified, less greasy and shiny. It’s been specifically designed to target key signs of oily, blemish prone skin. This is also suitable for those who have acne prone skin.
How I use: I double cleanse once by using my Magnitone Lucid and one using my hands then I spray this all over my face and leave to dry (make sure you have your eyes closed when using this). I pat of any excess and then apply my favourite moisturiser. I’m actually so close to picking up the La Roche Posay Effaclar Mat to use after this toner to keep the shininess at bay, we shall see what happens next time I pop into boots as I am extremely low on my daily moisturiser. I use Serozinc day and night and my skin had improved a lot. I have seen a real difference just by adding two things to my routine which has been my Magnitone Lucid and Serozinc. Skin is softer, brighter, blemishes are fading, my makeup stays on longer and looks more like skin now instead of an extra layer!
I cannot recommend this enough, I absolutely love this product! If you have oily/greasy skin you NEED this product. I don’t know how I ever managed without this and I don’t think I will ever manage without it again!

Hopefully I’ll be reviewing these in the near future if I happen to treat myself. Do you have any of these is there anything you can recommend?
So this weekend just gone it was the end of the month for me. (always the worst time of the month!) This month I actually had money left over (Shock!). I’d like to clarify that I’m always skint at the end of the month so you can imagine my excitement when I took a look at my bank account and seen that I had a few pennies to spend.
This was great timing for me. I’m normally combination skin, this means for me that my forehead, nose, chin are always oily! Now that it’s coming to winter my current moisturiser isn’t working as well for me. I set out to find a new moisturiser that would really give my skin some hydration. This is where I found L’Oreal Skin Perfection Correcting Day Moisturiser, I had originally set out for an Olay product but it seemed that it was all anti-aging products and I’m not sure I’m quite there yet! (not just yet anyway). I’d been eyeing up the L’Oreal skincare range for a while so starting with the moisturiser is a good choice for me to see whether my skin is going to co-operate or not. I have never been great with skincare which is so bad of me. I’ve never had a routine, I’ve never known what products I should be using on my skin etcc… (If you have a skincare routine for me to try I would very much appreciate the help!!).
L’Oreal Skin Perfection Correcting Day Moisturiser was a great product for me to pick. The product claims to Tighten Pores, Even and perfect skin tone and refine skin texture. It also has Perline-P. For those who don’t know Perline-P is plant complex, this helps with the appearance of the skin like the pores, skin texture and fine lines. The age which this product is targeted to is 20-30 years. The action is to perfect, smooth and give the skin 24 HR Hydration.
This is one thing that I can agree with. After cleansing my face I apply this moisturiser in circular motions on my face. After applying I can feel my skin is smoother already! I have seen a slight difference in the texture of my skin and within minutes of applying the moisturiser I can tell my skin is more hydrated. My dry patches don’t look like sandpaper and my makeup slides on my face easier. I was really impressed with this and I’ve only been using it just under a week!
I’ll keep you updated on how I get on with this product. I’ll definitely be trying other products from the range.
Have you tried any of the other products from the Skin Perfection Range?
