Styling my hair is always a really fun and relaxing thing to do. Like a lot of women (and some men too) my hair is precious and it needs to look and feel right. Not everyone is happy with their hair though, and they’re always looking for ways to improve it. One of the problems that a lot of girls want to solve is fine or even thinning hair. Having full hair means you can do a lot more with it, but not everyone is blessed with thick and flowing hair. That’s why I’ve put together some tips to get a full locks that you can style as you want.
I’m as blonde as they come when it come’s to personality and hair colour. I’m a natural blonde but as I grew older my blonde started to darken from that gorgeous baby blonde to the dark dirty blonde. I wasn’t happy with this so since the age of 14/15 I have been bleaching my hair like no-one’s business to the point I was once white and I looked horrific. (I will spare you the embarrassing horrific photo of the past).
So girls with long hair will totally understand me here when I say, washing long hair every day is a nightmare! My hair isn’t in the greatest condition, it’s greasy after one day of not washing, it’s frizzy and rather thick. I was lucky enough to be gifted these hair products and Im not kidding you when I say me and my hair are extremely grateful!
Osmo is a leading UK collection of professional hair care and styling products. They are a respected and trusted brand here in the UK and have a product to fit everyone’s need. Osmo offer general hair care such as shampoo, conditioner and treatments etc, they also offer styling products and colour products. Osmo has been featured/mentioned in magazine such as Vogue, Marie Clare and Look Magazine.
Up first is the Osmo Effects Detoxify, this is a deep clarifying cleanser which is designed to effectively remove product build up and impurities while retaining hydration. This is recommended to be used once a week. When I used this, my scalp felt like it could breathe, it felt fresh and it smells of tea tree. It felt really good and it definitely took away the product build-up out of my scalp. When using this I actually found that my hair could go more than one day without being washed which was great as it didn’t look like I had greasy hair from stepping out of the shower. It definitely didn’t strip my hair leaving it in a horrible texture. My hair was softer than I had ever know.
Next product I had the chance to try out was the Osmo Effects Straighten Up, this is a 3 day keratin straightening complex spray. This is a heat activated formula which works with styling irons to transform curly, frizz prone, unruly locks into sleek, smooth, visibly straighter styles whilst retaining the hair’s natural moisture. This can last up to three days keeping the hair sleek and smooth or until the next shampoo which ever comes first. This is a miracle worker when it comes to hair products. I used this but didn’t use my straightners as it was just before bed and I really don’t need to look my best to go to sleep. My hair instantly transformed with the use of my hairdryer. Normally I would dry my hair and have frizzyness coming from all angles, but not this time my hair looked as though it had been straightened and it looked so sleek and smooth for the next 2 days until I washed it. Finally no more frizzy hair!
The last product I tried and tested was the Osmo Two Day Styler, this is their dry shampoo. The brand claims that this is a ‘blowdry in a can’ and I would have to agree. Some dry shampoo’s can just leave a white layer on your hair which you then have to blend in no matter how far you hold the can away from your hair. The brand recommends you hold this product 25cm away from the hair and keep the can upright. I followed these instructions but I use all dry shampoo’s the same so I don’t see why this would make a difference but anyway. This instantly refreshed my hair and took the slight greasiness out of my roots straight away. It didn’t feel like I had just coated my hair in a powder either and it also didn’t leave the hair still feeling greasy like other brands I’ve tried have done.
Altogether I love the brand and the range of products I was generously gifted. I would happy buy Osmo Hair Products again, now just where to find them in Sheffield.
Have you tried the range?
