Just over two weeks ago the Works with Water help: beautify skin* came to my door and I immediately started these ready-to-eat beauty supplements. I had never seen these before so getting to sample them was a lovely opportunity and one I thoroughly enjoyed too! My life is hectic at the moment I’m working 16-17 hour days and my skincare regime is having to be cut back to bare minimum just so I get enough sleep. [Read more…]
Have you heard of Kiss Cosmetics yet? I have and I am seriously impressed by the brand, when I first heard about Makeup revolution I knew that they were going to be a big hit here in the UK, so affordable yet such great quality. Well I have a feeling Kiss Cosmetics are going to be just as big. I have heard fantastic things about this brand’s few products already and I cannot wait to see what they bring us within this next year. [Read more…]
I attended #thecitygirls launch event last month and in my goody-bag was the Blanx White Shock Gel Pen*. Last may I finally had my braces off and it was possibly the best feeling in the world that day! No more metal in my mouth and I had them taken off a week before I went to Bulgaria with the boyfriend too!
Every girl loves a lipstick right? When it comes to MAC I’m all heart emoji eyed. I love the simple bullet packaging. I love the vanilla scent that comes with the lipstick. I brought my first MAC lipstick around two years ago and it definitely is the one with the most wear. I have just added two lipsticks to my collection and thought that this was the perfect time to show you my little collection.
I was lucky enough to be nominated on twitter to receive a sample of the Burberry Kisses Lipstick* so I opted for Pink Nude as that seemed like the perfect shade to start with. [Read more…]
I was recently in search off a new compact mirror to keep in my makeup bag especially when I’m travelling cross country, when I was lucky enough to have the Flo Accessories Mini Celebrity LED Mirror* come through my door thanks to the bloggers love hub and Flo accessories. [Read more…]
It’s that time of the month again! (no not that time!) It’s BIRCHBOX time again! I was so excited for this month’s Birchbox and I love the fact that we could again pick our own sample from Laura Mercier this time. I opted for the Mascara as I already have the foundation primer and I can’t remember what the third option were but it obviously didn’t appeal to me. [Read more…]
I’m as blonde as they come when it come’s to personality and hair colour. I’m a natural blonde but as I grew older my blonde started to darken from that gorgeous baby blonde to the dark dirty blonde. I wasn’t happy with this so since the age of 14/15 I have been bleaching my hair like no-one’s business to the point I was once white and I looked horrific. (I will spare you the embarrassing horrific photo of the past).
I received this is my Birchbox and it’s the first thing I have ever got to try from theBalm. I was pretty excited when this was sat in my Birchbox not only because of the brand but it was a lip stain and that’s something that I have hardly ever used.
Highlighter is something which I have always been touch and go with, I never knew exactly what to do with it when I really got into Makeup somewhat years ago and even now I’m a little reluctant when using. Thanks to good ol’ Youtube I am much more confident. I have had this High-Light Powder for a few years now and I believe it was from the Hey Sailor Collection back in 2012. This has remained unused until now.
When I first brought this it was literally too pretty to use with the pastel colours through it I literally kept it in its box for years. Highlighter has never been one of those things that I thought as essential when thinking about my makeup until recently. This is a gorgeous highlighter and with me being as pale as I am I thought this wouldn’t show up at all but it’s actually extremely pigmented and a little goes a long way.
This highlighting powder is made up of three shades, four actually. It has the base light beige colour throughout, it also has peach, pink and purple also. I was actually concerned this may look a little chalky on my skin but it was like applying satin. Not chalky at all. It’s a silky soft texture which is appealing to the eye for me anyway. Just the look of the colours made me want it.
Not only is it great for highlighting it’s actually pretty good as a blush on those days where I don’t want to appear like I’m wearing makeup but I don’t want to be completely bare faced either. This glides on the skin like silk, literally so lightweight and easy to blend too. I absolutely love this and I will not be leaving it behind when I go to Marrakech later on this year! I think at the moment I am using this more as a blush rather than highlight especially for the days where I don’t wear much makeup.
I know it’s bad that I’ve not thrown this out but it’s a lot of money and I trust my own makeup.
