This post is way over-due so I apologise. But the reason I have been MIA is because of my new job. I am now an Optical Consultant at Boots and I cannot express how much I love this job. So why I’m finding my feet and learning about everything eye related the blog has had to take a back seat. But I thought I would give you an insight into my 2016 Blogging Goals and Personal Goals.
First goal I set myself this year was to Stop comparing myself to other bloggers and appreciate it for what it is and what it’s becoming. I’ve always been so harsh on myself over my blog and I really want to make 2016 my year where my little old space on the internet gets noticed that little bit more.
Improve my photography – this is something that I definitely want to do. Having just given my bedroom a re-do with a new bed and new vanity I definitely want my blog photo’s to be the best of my ability! I have been seriously impressed with some of my photography lately just need to keep the consistency up!
Focus less on stats and more on relationships – everyone and their dog says that stats aren’t everything but I just couldn’t help but keep tracks on my stats! This year I really want to develop those relationships with brands I’ve worked with and also my readers. I’m definitely going to be taking more time out to comment on blog posts I read to make those bloggers feel good. The blogging world needs some positivity and I’m planning on doing my part for the community. This year you will see some fitness posts appear on the blog, I’m planning on blogging about my fitness routine, healthy recipes and maybe even venture into YouTube. Watch this space…
Lastly for the blogging goals I would like to Attend more blogging events – I didn’t take part in many last year but I really enjoy meeting new bloggers and brands and seeing what inspires that brand. I have met some amazing friends through blogging events and I’ve also got a good relationship with some PR Reps who I’ve met along the way too and I’m hoping those relationships can keep developing. If you know of any events happening in the Yorkshire area please let me know.
This year I really want to look after my skin so I’m Eating Healthier and drinking more water. These two things are definitely the ones I want to focus on the most. My mum and dad have joined slimming world so I’ve been eating whatever they have been eating at home and I feel so much better for it.
I would like to get fitter, by that I mean physically fitter so I’m not gasping for breath after running up a flight of stairs. My dad runs in the evening’s so I think I will be joining him on my days off to help me get fitter. I have the stuff to wear just got to get out there and do it. It’s so cold at the moment though which is putting me off!
The main thing personally would be to be near to buying a house by the end of the year. Me and the boyfriend are saving like mad at the moment because we want to own our own house. It’s a lot harder to save for a house than it looks but I do already have some home stuff ready for when we are ready to buy so at least it wont be a massive rush to buy everything at once!
That’s it for 2016 for me. I wonder how many of them I will actually achieve! What are your goals for this year?
