I cannot believe I am writing this post but Christmas will soon be here. I know many people who have already started their shopping. I know it hasn’t even been Halloween yet, but it doesn’t hurt to think things through in advance so that you don’t feel overwhelmed come December. You can never be too prepared! Apart from the people who start their Christmas shopping in August. Those people are far too prepared. (My mum is one of those people). Lately I’ve been thinking about what I could buy my mum for Christmas, so I thought I’d share a few ideas with you. Enjoy!
A Luxury Candle
I don’t know any mum that wouldn’t appreciate a luxury candle. There’s Yankee candle, which we all know and love. However, there are even more luxury candles on the market now. There are candles by Jo Malone that I know lots of people are going crazy over, and even candles from Next that smell gorgeous!
Face stuff comes in all kinds of shapes and sizes, so I haven’t really been specific with the header. Face stuff in general is a lovely gift, especially if you know it’s a good brand! You could treat your mum to a whole new range of products to get into a routine. You could even buy her just one product if the reviews speak for themselves. There are so many wonder-products out there that I know lots of women swear by!
Body stuff also comes in all kinds of shapes and sizes, my mum may as well have shares in Lush. She loves all kinds of bath bombs, bubble bars and bath soaks. So when it comes to my mum I can never go wrong with a few lush goodies! The picture below is her favourite from lush and I’m sure it’s a few other people’s favourite too!
An ornament for the home that you know will look great is the perfect gift for the house proud mum. Willow tree ornaments are really classy and neutral, so you can’t go wrong with something like that. There are lots of options though, so you could get something more unusual depending on your mum’s taste.
Why not take your mum out for some bonding time? Afternoon tea is the perfect opportunity and it’s a nice luxury every now and again. You can have tea and sandwiches, cakes and cocktails, or a mix of all of them. You can usually find really good deal on Groupon and Wowcher. It’s a nice way to treat yourself too!
Christmas is always a good time to buy new pyjamas, so treat your mum to some so she can settle down happily with the Roses tin. You can never have too many sets of pyjamas, and a new dressing gown doesn’t go amiss either.
If you’ve got a bit more money to spend and want to give your mum something special, look into keepsakes to get here. There are all kinds of jewellery you could look at, or you could go for something like a wall plaque with a personalised message. What do you think will really mean something to your mum? Price doesn’t matter as long as it’s thoughtful and personal. Your mum will appreciate anything she knows you’ve put thought into.
If you have any gift ideas of your own you’d like to share, leave your comments below! I’d love to hear what you think.
