Summer is the perfect time to get out there and experience new things. It’s the time when close friends come back from university. And, everyone books at least a week or two off work. This is the one season of the year where you can go on adventures and not get soaked with rain. Well, mostly. If you want to make the most of this summer, then I’ve got some excellent tips, for a whole load of fun.
Make the most out of all the free (or extremely cheap) activities going on in your area. Have a look for events such as school fairs and summer fetes. There will be a lot of them around! Most local newspapers will advertise them, so keep your eyes peeled. You could have a picnic or a bbq if there’s nothing happening over the weekend. There are so many cheap and cheerful things you can do when the sun is shining. Make the most out of the great weather, before the grey clouds take over again.
You don’t have to save up a fortune to get away this summer. There are plenty of ways you can holiday without breaking the bank. Especially if you’re a student! Why not get all of your friends together for a midweek break to Center Parcs? How about a weekend trip to the coast? If you have got a bit of cash to splash then now is the perfect time to book up that dream break. The Mediterranean has some of the best weather at this time of year. Pack up your bikini and get on that plane.
Ever fancied trying something completely new? And perhaps a little bit daring? You’ll find yourself a bit more open to adventures when the sun has got his hat on. You could go on a helicopter ride over the British countryside. You can see just some of the trip ideas available here. You could bungee jump or skydive. You could even learn how to surf in the Cornish coast. Tick something off that bucket list while you’ve got the nerve to do it.
Friends and Family
One of the best things about summer is that you’re far more likely to see old friends and family members. Everyone comes back from university, and some people take time off work. Just to enjoy the great weather. Make sure you book them all up for at least one cheeky cocktail in the sun. If you want a fun-filled summer, then you have to fill it with the people you care about the most.
Just Get Out!
Even if you are stuck in an office, penniless, for the most of summer, not all is lost. Just getting out of the house will ensure you have heaps of fun. A walk around the block can release happy hormones called endorphins. Not to mention the Vitamin D you get from the sun beating down on you. Don’t spend the whole of the summer months stuck inside. Go meet a friend in the park on your lunch break or take your dog out for a jog. You’ll then never feel as though those warmer months were wasted. As you can see by the picture above last year I went on the gromit trail! I really enjoyed exploring Bristol with my other half and taking pictures with the different statue’s! It’s a great day out for anyone! This year they have shaun the sheep!!!
How are you planning on spending your summer? It may be packed with work assignments, but it doesn’t mean you can’t have fun. Get out there, soak up that sunshine, and have an incredible time!
