I was lucky enough to be invited to the first City Girls event and I was honoured. The City Girls is a collective of UK Bloggers that have been brought together by two lovely bloggers; Holly and Lorna. The event was held in Bloo88 on West Street in Sheffield. Holly and Lucy were also supporting a charity at this event; City Hearts. It’s an amazing charity that do amazing things and I am so glad I got to be a part of the £175 raised for the charity.
This was my first event of the year and there was so many brands some of which I had never heard of! Benefit, Panache, Second Thread, Lush, Cinnamon Bun Designs and Voss Water were all there. I had only ever heard of two of the brands before this day and I loved getting to know some of the new brands.
Bloo88 was an amazing venue especially with two for £9 cocktails. Holly and Lucy also sorted lunch for everyone which consisted of pizza and very yummy one’s at that! I tried foods I had never dared try before like black olives which I actually really liked thanks to Becky for the recommendation of that certain pizza! If i’m craving pizza I will only be going to Bloo88 because the pizza’s there are DELICIOUS!
I absolutely loved this event and everything about it, from speaking to each individual brand to catching up with some of the bloggers I haven’t seen since last August. This event was brilliantly put together and you could tell so much work had been put into this event so I thank Holly and Lorna very much! I cant wait for their next event! I’m going to feature the amazing goody-bag in an upcoming post as there is a lot to show you guys! Events for me aren’t for the goody-bag even though they are great to experience new brands, they are about socialising with fellow bloggers and brands and meeting new people. But us bloggers that attended #thecitygirls event are extremely lucky to have received what we have in this goody-bag. Keep your eyes peeled. I wish I would have taken more photo’s but I was so engrossed in the event that my camera didn’t get much attention.
Thank-you Holly and Lorna for an amazing event, you should be so proud of yourselves for what you have achieved on your first event and I can’t wait to see what you have upcoming for us bloggers.
