I received this is my Birchbox and it’s the first thing I have ever got to try from theBalm. I was pretty excited when this was sat in my Birchbox not only because of the brand but it was a lip stain and that’s something that I have hardly ever used.
When I think of a lip stain, I think of pigmented, really long lasting, doesn’t wear down after a few hours, doesn’t dry out the lips that sort of thing. Some lip stains can be drying and not have much pigmentation and will only last a few hours as so I am told. Those are the reasons why I have stayed away from them. But I thought I would give this a go simply because I don’t want to give away a product I could potentially love.
This is a gorgeous colour of stain, its subtle which I didn’t expect but I really liked it. It wasn’t crazy pigmented so my lips didn’t look like I’d been bleeding. It was smooth to apply it didn’t dry out my lips either which was a bonus. I loved the fact that I didn’t have to re-apply. It literally does what a stain should do which is stain the lips. I am definitely converted by this product. The quality of this stain is really impressive. Literally feels as though I’m not wearing anything on my lips. As far as I’m aware this is the only lip and cheek stain that theBalm do. They don’t have any other shades in the range. But this is a perfect colour once on the lips so I don’t think that they need any other shades.
Have you tried theBalm Staniac?
