Wow what an event! Having only purchased my ticket two weeks before the event date I counted myself pretty lucky that I had secured a place! Before speaking to a few bloggers over twitter I had never heard of Fabb Events at all. But I give credit to Tor and Ray because they really do throw a Fabb Event (see what I did there?). So Saturday the 26th rolled around and I literally couldn’t contain the excitement. After I had put a few cocktail sticks in my eyes to keep me awake (Caring for a new-born… not the best idea the night before an event, but definitely worth it).
Starting the day was the dreading train journey! I’d reserved a seat and I was still standing. Luckily I was off on the first stop! I had the pleasure of meeting four gorgeous girls… Charli, Frankie, Sarah and Sian.
The event was held in Alfie Bird’s in The Custard Factory. On arriving we had to wait downstairs in the Cafe until half one… Didn’t stop me having a peek upstairs though. Half one soon came around and we were called upstairs, we were given a wrist band and our pink goody-bays which had been put together by Ray and Tor! We then had two floors to explore!
WARNING this post is picture heavy.
The first company I got the pleasure in talking to was Mistair and StageLine Professional… This company specialises in airbrush make-up and body paint. Faye who works for the company told me how their make-up had been used on the stars from Dancing on Ice this year. They have a large range of cosmetics which are amazing! I swatched a few of the eyeshadow’s on the back of my hand and I literally couldn’t get over how pigmented they were.
The next brand I had the pleasure of speaking to was Bodhi and Birch, Bodhi and Borch was founded by Elijah Choo. I’ve heard of this company before yet I’ve never tried any of their products! I’m a sucker for displays and cute packaging and as soon as I approached the stand I was a little giddy! I love smelling things and by far the Jasmine Falls. I even got a small sample of it which I’m pretty excited to try. The stand was extremely busy when myself and Sarah was stood having a look about and after pumping too much oil on our hands and having all sorts of aromas seeping from our skin we moved to the next stand.
The next brand we approached was Anovia.. This is a brand I had never heard of ever. I found out that Anovia is a brand which are producing cheaper products which will be sold in shops such as poundland. This was pretty amazing and given that we got given four of their products to try I’m really excited to see how these products work.
We then moved on to Bee Good. OH MY have you ever smelt a product so good in your life that you could possibly eat it? No? You definitely need to try Bee Good Products. I found out that the brand is owned by a man and wife who are beekeepers and all their products have honey used within them. I was told honey is really good for the skin and if you buy pure honey and spread a little over your face and wash away with water it does wonders for the skin. I will be trying this at some point. I had the chance to sample the Cream Cleanser and the 3 in 1 Cleansing Water and they smell amazing. I would buy these products to simply smell, they actually smell so good. I was happy enough to receive a gift from Bee Good in the form of their lip balm. Which smells amazing too and a full blog post will be up shortly of this. This is definitely one brand which I really want to try out and test they seem so good!
Downstairs we went and we approached MeMeMe cosmetics… I won’t say too much because I want to write a whole post dedicated to this brand. The amount of goodies they gave us was unreal! I felt like all my christmas’ and birthday’s had come at once. I am literally so greatful for everything they put in my bag. It’s also made me want to buy a lot more products. Will have to wait until payday now. Only 18 days to go!
I literally had the best day ever. It was definitely the best event I had ever been to! I loved how the atmosphere was so relaxed and you could just go round and listen to brands talk about what they do best. It really made me feel at ease. I would also like this space to personally thanks Ray and Tor without you two this event wouldn’t have happened. I feel so spoilt and I can’t thank you enough for putting on this event. I will definitely want to come to more in the future without a doubt. If your planning one in Sheffield anytime soon please do let me know! 🙂
(I do apologise for the photo quality, I had the shakes all day during the event which turned out not to be nerves, and ended up being on the antibiotics which I were on which were too strong for my petite little self to handle).
On the last note… I would like to say a massive thank-you to Sian, Sarah, Charli and Franckie for making my day that little bit more special. Spending the day with these girls was really awesome and even though I had been speaking to them only on twitter I clicked with them all instantly and adore each one of them! If i had the opportunity to see them all again I definitely wouldn’t say no. Thank-you girls! xo
