Hey guys, I’m sorry I’ve been so vacant recently, I feel like I’ve been living at work plus I’ve had some family commitments too! Anyway welcome to my new site! I was so excited about getting my own domain, so I decided to go with godaddy.com.
Anyway you already know what this post is about and let me tell you one thing. I’ve heard so many people say they are disappointed with Glossybox this that and the other… I signed up in March and I haven’t been disappointed one bit. There may be times where I’m not sure whether I like a product or not but for me that’s the whole point of being a subscriber to Glossybox. (For those who don’t know what Glossybox is yet check out my first Glossybox Post).
The first thing that caught my eye was that the design of the box had changed, normally its more rounded but this time it’s completely square corners no rounded corners in sight… I actually like this design of the box in all honesty. When i opened the box i found a cute little leaflet folded into three which looked super cute which told me what I got in my box.
The first product I received was Kroylan For Glossybox Highlighter in Cashmere. This was a full-sized product and it had the Glossybox logo on top of the lid which is cute. You can find this product online at Kryolan which retails at £12.95 for the full-sized product which is 4.5g.t I swatched this product just to see what it was like as I had never come across the brand before. On the little leaflet I received with my box is says ‘This highlighter is a versatile, lightweight cream with a gloss finish. It provides cheekbones, lips and other parts of the skin with a velvety shine”. This isn’t exactly what it did for me, It didn’t highlight my skin which you would think it would do with being a highlighter after-all. Also even though it left my skin feeling smooth until it dried my skin looked greasy which soon went away but I will keep trying this to see how I get on with it.
The next product I received was Figs & Rouge Mini Hand Cream. This was obviously a mini edition of the product so i received 20ml. The Full sized product can be found on Feel Unique for £6.95 for 80ml (They also do other scents too). This smells gorgeous it’s supposed to be mango and mandarin and you can definitely smell the fruitiness in there. (Currently can’t stop smelling my own hands). In the leaflet is says “These hand creams are enriched with shea butter, natural antioxidants and algea extract for beautifully fragrant and indulgent skincare. Softens, nourishes & thoroughly pampers hands throughout the day!”. I can totally agree with this my hands feel beautifully soft and I can’t get over how much I like the smell!
The next product I received was Yves Rocher Pink Nail Polish. This was a full-sized product that i received and it is so small and cute. when I say it’s small and cute I mean it’s the size of my little finger! (and i have tiny hands). It’s only 3ml and retails for £3.60 at Yves Rocher. I haven’t used this yet as I’m already wearing nail polish but if you want to see it swatched check my instagram and twitter and there will be a post up soon! This was the birthday bonus product too.
The next product in the box was Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer. The tube i received is 40ml and for full size its 250ml which retails for £38 on Look Fantastic. I’m excited to give this product a go as in the leaflet is claims “Originally created for Audrey Hepburn, this pre-shampoo treatment delivers unrivalled elasticity, managable, bounce and shine without weighing down or coating the hair. Suitable for all hair textures.” My hair is so flat and i try forever to get some bounce into it… so we shall see if this product does what it says on the tin!
This next product you can pick up from your local boots store. I got the LALIQUE L’Amour fragrance. I received 2ml of the fragrance which is like most testers you receive but they are handy for in you handbag or clutch bag when your out and about! For full size of 50ml this product retails at £67! The leaflet claims “This soft, sensual fragrance has delicate top notes of rosebuds laced with fresh bergamot, white floral heart notes and a musk base note. This fragrance captures the essence of love.” Instantly after dabbing the perfume on my skin and letting it settle I loved it! It smells so nice and could be a perfect summer fragrance in my eyes! But I always ask the boyfriend about perfume so i’ll see what he says too!
The last thing in my box is an Essence Longlasting Lipstick! This product only comes in one size which retails for £2.29 on the Essence website. I received this in the shade 07 Natural Beauty and it’s quite a nude based colour and I love the colour of it. The leaflet claims “Essence longlasting lipstick provides your lips with intensive colour for several hours without drying them out. Available in Bright Pink, Vibrant Red, Chilled-out Berry and subtle nude shades.”
Until Next Time… xo
